365

The name's Megan. Starting on January 1st, 2009 I will try to take a picture every single day. I'm by no means a photographer but I thought that this would be fun to try.
So yesterday was the last day of year. Which also means it was the last picture for my 365. I suppose this would be the post to look back on 2009. I can’t really say that I had a good or bad year. There were many ups and downs - like every other year. I had some great experiences, I met some amazing new friends, friendships I already had grew stronger, and I traveled to beautiful places. I can’t really complain. Bad things happened too but looking back I’ve decided not to focus on those.
Anyway for New Years Eve I went to a party at Ally’s house. Most of the people there were from her school but I did know a few people. I had a pretty good time. Some of the guys that I didn’t know were really immature and annoying. But most of the people there were cool. And of course at midnight we watched the ball drop.
I’ve decided not to do a 365 next year. Maybe the year after I will - who knows? Well to all my followers of this blog, thanks for following. It’s been an adventure.

I had basketball practice for the first time since I left for Seattle. Since I hadn’t worked out at all in Seattle, practice was brutal! I was so tired afterward. On Wednesday night my mom and I went shopping. I bought a long-sleeved black shirt from H&M.

Tuesday was a nice, relaxing day. Later on I saw Avatar with my parents. It lived up to my expectations. The special effects were absolutely mind-blowing. Did anyone else find it kind of similar to Pocahontas? Maybe it’s just me. Anyway if you haven’t seen it yet I definitely recommend it!

Another day in the car! Boring, boring, boring. I did eat at a Denny’s for the very first time in my life. Not too shabby either. We finally arrived home at about 10:30 on Monday night. It was good to finally be home!

We left Seattle early in the morning on the 27th. We dropped off my mom at the airport (who was smart enough to fly back =/) and then we were on our way! I had my laptop with me so I watched a few movies to pass the time. I first watched Harry Potter and then Dear Jack. We drove all the way to Sacramento and then stopped for the night.

Saturday was our last full day in Seattle. We decided to do a little sight-seeing. We first went to the Space Needle. The weather was so beautiful that the views from the observation deck were incredible. After the Space Needle we drove to Ballard and got some fish and chips and this little restaurant (which the name I’m drawing a blank on). The were AMAZING. So good. Then we just basically drove around different parts of the city.

Christmas was great… but hectic! Pretty much all of my relatives on my dad’s side came over to my grandma’s tiny house. The morning/afternoon was filled with a lot of food, gift opening, and fun. At around 2 everyone left. My mom and I later took my dog on a long walk. The weather was beautiful - chilly but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. On Christmas night only my aunt Trish, my uncle Phil, my uncle Gus, my aunt Sharon, and my cousins Darron and Nichole and their kids came over for dinner. It was nice without the house being so crowded!
Anyway “Santa” brought me:
DVD’s (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, 500 Days of Summer, Dear Jack, and The Hangover)
Some new clothes
Black suede boots
Silver flats
Betsey Johnson jewelery
